tiger safari

The Tiger Safari in Tuttle Oklahoma means so many different things to me. When I was growing up it was the place to go to in Tuttle and my friends and I would always have a good time there. Then, my girlfriend started working there as a live in position, so we moved in Tiger Safari. That led to the wildest couple of months in my life, which you would expect living in a zoo. Because of this place is how I got my start in radio, because when you live in a zoo you have stories to tell and people love to hear stories that aren’t like everybody else.

okc thunder practice facility

This building is where I first got to be a true journalist. Going to post practice interviews, being able to sit down with some players and talk to them, and learn about the in’s and out’s of a professional sports organization. I was super nervous asking questions in front of established journalists, and of course to professional athletes. By now however, I feel comfortable at the facility and comfortable around the athletes, because they all just want you to treat them like any other person on the planet and not some folk hero.

Pro Football hall of fame

The pro football hall of fame means a lot to me, because it was the first vacation that I took with my dad after he came back from Iraq. His favorite team, the Denver Broncos, had just won the Super Bowl so being able to experience the hall celebrating the Broncos was exciting to see. This was also the first time either of us had been to the pro football hall of fame, so I feel like that made it even more special.

Cumulus

This building is the place where I work currently and the place that I hope launches my career. I work on a morning radio show for The Sports Animals and have been asked to come on Rick and Brad on the KATT, the Joey and Heather Morning Show, and have hosted multiple other shows at the radio station. I have spent many nights in this building because of my crazy work schedule, so I am hoping one day when I have made it to the top of the radio world I can look back at this building and know it is where I got my start
