STUTTGART RESIDENCE – NAM DUONG

Another residence house design by Richard Meier. This building locates in Germany and was done in August 2016.

This building have six levels. With the parking and basement separates from the living area. Like other architecture done by Richard Meier, this building use white as its primary color. Plus, it design to capture a lot of nature light by using large windows.

RACh MIEU BRIDge – Nam DUOng

This is one of the major bridge that connect my providence. Before this bridge, we have to use the ferry to “get out” of the providence.

The ferry takes about haft an hour to get to the other side. My providence divide by three big rivers, therefore transportation is not that easy, especially it take longer to travel. The Rach Mieu Bridge was done by Vietnamese engineering, one of the first major bridge build by the Vietnamese. This one also is the first one to cross the three big rivers.

I believe there is a mistake in design. The bridge have only two lanes for automobile. Which is very small for a major bridge like this. It is usually pack up during holiday time. There are planning to build a second one, but for now, no process.

BITEXCO FINANCIAL TOWER

The Bixteco Financial Tower becomes one of the iconic building in Ho Chi Mind when it completed in 2010. Design by Carlos Zapata Studio, the building is over eight hundred feet height.

The idea of the tower design was influence by the blossoming lotus, Vietnamese national flower. But most of my friend said it looks like a corn. Anyway I think it is a very beautiful and unique design. I would like to visit it, but did not have a chance. On the 52nd floor of the tower, there is a place for visitor to see around the city.

As the major hub of South Vietnam continues to grow. There are more tower being build around it. For me, this make the tower looks less beauty in the sky of the city.

SEAMARQ HOTEL – NAM DUONG

This is the Seamarq Hotel, design by Richard Meier and his partners. The Hotel locate in South Korea, in a very beautiful location, as you can see from the picture below.

The hotel was built as an effort for the Winter Olympic 2018 in South Korea. “Our primary goal for the Seamarq Hotel has been to create a strong sense of place by enhancing and transforming the existing site in a dramatic way,” said Richard Meier.

The whole site of this construction use nature light. Its design was mean to capture all the nature light from the ocean. And being close to the ocean. Like most of Richard Meier architecture, the hotel use white as the primary color.

ALl WHite OXFORD-SHIRE REsidence – Nam Duong

Another all white architect by Richard Meier. The building locates in England. Its location make it stand out. Out of the screen space sourrounding it.

It a modern minimal architect from the exterior to the interior. This is something I think the milenial like me going to love to stay in. Very wide open to the beautiful landscape outside.

One pillar pagoda – NAM DUONG

This is the One Pillar Pagoda, locates in Ba Dinh, Hanoi, Vietnam. This is very unique and iconic architect in Vietnam. It also appears on the Vietnam Dong currency bill. It was build around 1028 to 1045. By the Emperor Ly Thai Tong’s order. The inspiration behind this design was a dream from the Emperor. This architect was damaged during the French war, but they able to rebuild it.

Dragon bridge – nam duong

This is Dragon Bridge, it locates in the city of Danang. The bridge complete in 2013 and crosses the Han River. This bridge is very unique, as you can tell in the photograph. It has a dragon flying along the bridge. The dragon can do fire and shoot water as well. Ammann and Whitney designed this bridge.

Dragon Bridge added a new unique bridge to this city. A city of bridge. Danang has other beautiful and unique bridges as well.

Jubilee Church – nam duong

The Jubilee Church designed by Richard Meier and his partners. The church stand outs from the traditional church. And does not look like a church. The design of this church influence a lot by nature. We can tell by the shape of the building. The triangular site of the building have their own purpose. Dividing and separating the section of the church.

Inside the church, it set itself apart from the traditional church. A lot of light capture by the moon windows of the building.
