This Center which helps mentally disturbed children in Japan, was created by Sou Fujimoto in 2006. Fujimoto created “block” like buildings for this center that gives a community like feel instead of a hospital feel. The method behind this was that the buildings should have a “loose” method. This causes there to not be a focal center point to the buildings, but rather have all the relative buildings connected as one. Each block has its own use to the complex, as all the blocks are used for different reasons.  

This building created by Sou Fujimoto, is a apartment building in Tokyo, Japan. This building consists of four different apartment units on top of each other. It is somewhat of a metaphor for Tokyo as it shows how crowded the city is, but you are still able to have your own personal space. Fujimoto also wanted the renter to be able to see different views from each space, as it would give the family a new perspective on each view of the city. The building is also white which allows it to be noticed by anyone passing by, and gives it a unique look.

This building designed by Sou Fujimoto, is a House in Kumamoto, Japan. This building is very unique in its style as it is made up of large beams of Cedar wood. These beams are all connected and nooked together in different ways which allows for the user to adapt to its different uses. The beams are all connected to make a floor, ceiling, and walls that aren’t in a traditional way. This building also has a combination of primitive and modern styles to it. The wood and basic structure shows the primitive parts of it, but the way the beams are put together shows the new adaptiveness of the modern world. This building is all about perspective as you can use each aspect in different ways.

This building designed by Sou Fujimoto, is an Apartment complex in Montpellier, France. As you can see this building is very unique in its structure, as it has overhanging balconies all over the building. Fujimoto designed this building to have these balconies as the climate in this region is nice all year round, so he wanted renters to have the ability to have an outside space at their disposal. He also wanted the building to look like a “Tree” in a sense as it would give it a unique style. This also gives the building a nature like feel, as it already sits aside a main river in France.

I was able to visit this stadium this last winter break when Oklahoma played LSU in the College Football semifinals. This stadium just recently opened in the fall of 2017, and is now considered to be one of the nicest stadiums in all of the United States. This stadium almost resembles a spiral shape that looks somewhat like wings due to the Atlanta Falcons having a bird mascot. I was blown away that architects were able to resemble this in such a massive way. The stadium also has a lot of glass that allows you to somewhat see in, when looking from the outside. This building left a very positive effect on me, as I had never seen a stadium of this size. I also thought the scoreboard/TV was very cool, as it wraps around the whole stadium. Overall, this building left a very positive impact on me, and to this day is the nicest stadium I have been able to watch a football game in.

I first visited this building when I was about 8 years old, and was amazed by the way it looked. This building looks almost like a massive golf ball on the ground, with a silver finish on the structure. This building holds exhibits and rides that are considered to be of the most popular in all of Walt Disney World, mainly because of how the structure looks. I was breath taken on how massive this building actually is, as the pictures don’t do it justice. This building is also the main thing I’ve always remembered since visiting which I think shows just how massive and unique the building is. Visiting this place as a kid was also very special as it was one of my dreams, so when I actually saw the beauty of it I was breath taken. I also have yet to see a building that looks similar to this which I think shows the uniqueness of it.

Hotel del Coronado is one the most distinguished and nicest hotels in all of San Diego. I went to this Hotel 3-4 times growing up and was always amazed by the look of the hotel. The cone of the Hotel is the most noticeable structure. The cone gives a seaside look, as the hotel is right on the beach. The Red and White of the building also gives a Ocean feel, as those colors are associated with beaches and the ocean. The Hotel is also designed to look like a wedding cake, and a ship which gives it a warming feel while you stay there. Overall, the architects created a fantastic hotel that allows guests to get a perfect seaside feel. I had never seen a hotel like this, and was blown away by the style of this hotel.

Reunion Tower in Dallas, TX is one of the most famous and distinct buildings in the city of Dallas. I had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant in the top of reunion tower for a birthday in my early teens. The restaurant is located in the ball of the building at the very top of the structure. The ball of the building actually rotates around the building allowing you to enjoy all the different views of Dallas. I had a very positive experience visiting this building as I always thought it was the “coolest” building in my city. This experience also allowed me to gain a new perspective on the city of Dallas, as I was able to see incredible views of the city that I had not seen. In my opinion this building allows the Dallas skyline to be very unique, as most cites don’t have buildings that look like Reunion Tower. The design of the building leading up to the Ball is also very unique. The building below is very skinny and has holes, this makes the Ball stand out even more. I think they did this so people would notice the Ball, more than the infrastructure holding it.
