100 eleventh avenue Manhatten new york

I’m not the biggest fan of the thought of living in New York, more specifically in Manhattan, but if I had to I would want to be living it up in this building that was completed in 2010 and has one of the most advanced “Curtain Wall technology” in the world and has one hell of a view. Plus just looking at this, I like that it has motion and isn’t all right angels and a box. It moves and flows and a building should do that because then it has character. Its simply beautiful.

Koncerthuset

I really enjoyed learning about this building by Jean Nouvel because I find music to be one of the most important things in my life. This is the Copenhagen Concert Center in Copenhagen Denmark. Every building has its challenges but imagines having to work with an audio engineer to building an auditorium that could seat 1800 and that room had to redirect, increase the volume, and not distort the music. Music is not the only piece of art working but also the building that offers the experience to the audience. Beauty and balance working together to great an atmosphere that all can enjoy.

tower 25

Tower 25 is the fourth largest building in Cyprus and it was designed by Jean Nouvel. The first seven floors are Offices, and the rest are luxury apartments with the last two floors combining together to complete the penthouse. What I think is so great about this building are the apparent views that can be seen while working on the bottom seven floors or for anyone lucky enough to live in one of those apartments, the view they get to experience every day. I am a sucker for a view.

Torre Glories or Torre Agbar

I chose this building by Jean Nouvel because of two reasons. The first being the shape, I thought that is was interesting and different being a cylinder that narrowed at the top and overall looks like a rocket. The second being the colors. After doing some reading on the building, this building has lighting modules that work independently which allow the building to be place of entertainment during the holidays with its ability to change several colors rapidly.

It was opened in 2005 for a tech company there in Barcelona Space. This building includes an auditorium along with 30000~ meters of office face and another 20000~ meters for technical services, and parking.

Jerome Grand Hotel

This is a tourist attraction for those who visit Jerome because it is said to be haunted. I went there with my significant other while visiting her family in Arizona. We took an evening to roam around the halls and all the nooks and crannies of the place to try and find ghosts. It was clear that this place had ties to the western expansion that influenced its style.

Jerome is a mining town and was constructed in 1926 under the name United Verde Hospital. It is on the complete opposite side of the town from the mine in case of a disease outbreak or a mining disaster. This also became the source that the people of Jerome came to believe that the estate was haunted.

the Bancfirst tower & OKC Petroleum Club

I worked as a DJ tech during a semi-formal for a fraternity one evening and I must admit that it took me by surprise. I did not expect a building such as the BancFirst Tower to have such a luxurious space. I always felt that skyscrapers were full of offices and cubical but now I notice the small differences between them that give them character.

This skyscrapers is 36 floors and was completed in 1971 as the Liberty National Bank. Fun fact about the tower, Dude Perfect, set the world record for the highest basketball shot taken. Dude Perfect is a group of individuals who perform outlandish tasks on YouTube.

Lucas Oil stadium

As soon as I was out of high school, I landed a weird opportunity to go to a convention and learn about business and different business models.
The convention was out of state and was held at the Lucas Oil Stadium and I just remember that it reminded me of the industrial age in America. I looked at its vastness and was speechless as I walked up the stairs and entered.

The stadium was built to replace the RCA Dome as the Indianapolis Colts Stadium for the NFL. It was built in 2008 by the HKS firm. The thing that I found most interesting was the retractable roof so that athletes can play in inside or outside conditions.

Benedict Hall

Benedict Hall on the former St. Gregory’s University campus in Shawnee. Whitney Bryen/Oklahoma Watch

St. Gregory’s University for me was a second home because of amount of time I had spent there. I always found myself amazed by the architecture and found it breathtaking during the day, and haunting at night. I grew up around Shawnee Oklahoma and worked at St. Gregory’s and knowing what I know now, I wish I could have experienced the architecture as it is and not what I thought it was. I always thought it was a beautiful campus.

St. Gregory was a private Catholic university in Shawnee Oklahoma from 1875 till 2017. After damages from natural disasters, the campus was too expensive to maintain and only the monks remain on campus at the monastery on site.
