The design team of Grant Associates and Wilkinson Eyre are once again planning a new project in Singapore and to reinvent the islands of Sentosa and Palau Brani as their inspirations for the “island playground.” The project will be set within a biodiverse tropical landscape and will finish within the next 20 or 30 years as several phases roll out. The architectural landscape attraction will consist of forested ridges and coral reef sculptures as well as other natural features of the island and will include night-time entertainment and rejuvenated beaches. The project has set a goal to design in an authentic and environmentally sustainable ways. I believe it will be such an exciting development to Singapore as the country is now recognized for its beautiful architecture. The master plan already looks inviting and lively as it will bring people together to enjoy each other’s company as well as enjoy the stunning landscape and architecture that is offered. I can’t wait to see the finished work.
