Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium

Coming from small town Oklahoma, this was my first encounter with OU’s style of architecture. I came to my first college football game in this stadium in 2012, before the new southern part of the stadium was constructed. My dad scalped some tickets for $5 each just moments before the game. We didn’t know the stadium and actually ended up with seats that were second from the highest section in the stadium. They turned out to be pretty good seats actually, we saw the entire game just fine.

Hotel Santa Fe

This is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in. I was in Santa Fe, New Mexico attending a PBR Bull riding event that my cousin was putting on and I was lucky enough to be able to stay here. The style of the hotel was unique and unlike any place I’ve ever stayed before. Santa Fe, if you haven’t been, has ordinances in place that require buildings to maintain a certain style, similar to the one seen in the picture attached. This adobe style of architecture super unique and looks even better when the whole city is built like this. It doesn’t feel like you are in the U.S. The hotel was a conglomeration of individual mesa style cabins like the one in the picture with a “wild west” interior. If you ever are in Santa Fe I highly recommend staying at Hotel Santa Fe!

DFW International Airport

I will start this by saying that I hate flying. I recognize the efficiency of flying, but I hate it. Not because I think I’m going to die, but because of my ears getting messed up. The first time I went on a plane and remembered it, I was thirteen, and my ears were messed up the entire vacation in New Orleans.

Despite hating flying, DFW International Airport has been a happy place for me. Before I transferred to OU, I went to a school in East Tennessee in the middle of nowhere. I was literally a thousand miles from home, and I was miserable. Arriving at DFW on break was always accompanied by a feeling of relief. It signaled to me that I was home at last.

Pro Football hall of fame

The pro football hall of fame means a lot to me, because it was the first vacation that I took with my dad after he came back from Iraq. His favorite team, the Denver Broncos, had just won the Super Bowl so being able to experience the hall celebrating the Broncos was exciting to see. This was also the first time either of us had been to the pro football hall of fame, so I feel like that made it even more special.

Cumulus

This building is the place where I work currently and the place that I hope launches my career. I work on a morning radio show for The Sports Animals and have been asked to come on Rick and Brad on the KATT, the Joey and Heather Morning Show, and have hosted multiple other shows at the radio station. I have spent many nights in this building because of my crazy work schedule, so I am hoping one day when I have made it to the top of the radio world I can look back at this building and know it is where I got my start

Hawthorne Bridge

http://www.socialenterprises.net/contact/
This is a bridge to downtown Portland Oregon. When I lived in Portland, I often took the Max (light rail intercity service) across the Hawthorne Bridge to downtown. The scenery on both sides of the bridge is very beautiful, and I always record videos every time I pass by. The scene after the rain is very charming. There are often many cyclists on both sides of the bridge. Sometimes max will stop for a while on the bridge. At that time, you can enjoy the scenery along the coast.

Crossing the bridge to the urban area, there are delicious Japanese restaurants and tranquil botanical garden. It's worth spending 2 or 3 hours here with friends on weekends. These are very fond memories of my high school.

Burj Khalifa (Dubai)

The Burj Khalifa located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is the worlds tallest building. Seeing this building in person was extremely impressive, all i could think about is how humans made something this huge. You can see this building from almost anywhere in Dubai. i almost went to the top but it was $100 so i decided to not do it. At the base there is a huge water fountain that puts on shows all the time. The architect who designed this building was Adrian smith.

Marina Bay Sands

The Marina Bay Sands hotel and resort is locate in Singapore. When i was in Singapore I had the opportunity to stay here and it was a great time. On the top of the three buildings is a boat shaped structure with all kinds of things to do on the top. This place had everything from infinity pools to a casino to luxury restaurant and shopping. it is Definitely a unique attraction in a unique country that is worth checking out. I know that I enjoyed my stay here.

Saint francis The childrens hospital (Tulsa Ok)

A pretty straight forward building that I almost overlooked. My place of birth is a pretty influential building in my life. Architecturally, it is exactly what I would picture a children’s hospital to look like. With its signature pink paint, it is known across Tulsa. I was born in this building and nothing can ever change that, the memories are a tad bit foggy, but I bet they follow a narrative that it was a confusing point in my life.

Philtower (Tulsa)

Philtower, Tulsa , OK

Philtower located in my Hometown Tulsa, OK. I grew up always going to downtown for various reason and i would always see this building and thought it was so cool as a kid. The top part is the most interesting part of the building for me with all the colors and lights at night. It was completed 1928 and associate architects Keene and Simpson were the chief architects. This building along with many others in Tulsa represent the “Art Deco” style of design. The Philtower was originally designed as a high-rise office space, but was converted to include apartments in 2004. It would be cool to live here.
