My First House
London McKee
The meaning of this place means everything to me. It was my childhood home, so many memories come flooding back to me when I think about it. This house has such a positive affect on me because, it is the place that I was raised in, so its super special. My first encounter of the house was when I was in the 4th grade. We went to go look at the house and I immediately hated it, it was super old and smelled like a grandma lived there for years. I was not looking forward into moving here, but now looking back at it that was my home and I miss it so much and wish we didn’t have to move away from it.
The local diner
The Local Diner is a very famous spot where I am from. Easily the best hash-browns south of the red river! The architecture of the Local Diner is very cool as well. The interior is a 50’s vibe with black and white tile running across the top of the walls all the way around. The reason I like the Local Diner is that every time I walk in I feel like I am going back in time. The Local Diner is also one of Coppell’s oldest restaurants which has a lot to say about the architecture of the building as well.

Pops
This is Pops. When I first encountered Pops I was about 8 years old and became fascinated by the giant soda bottle structure and the wall of colorful sodas that wonderfully decorated the front windows. It lives off Route 44 near Edmond, Oklahoma bringing many people from across the state to come and visit. I only visited this place every so often but each time I did joy usually followed. This is important because now every time I go and visit I get brought back to a younger version of myself and get reminded of the “simpler times”. It influenced me in that it became a place for me to feel like a kid again and now stands as a token for the time before Corona.
Gaylord Memorial stadium
Blog 1 MCG
This is Bishop McGuinness, my high school I attended. This is where a lot of growing up came from. The preparation it made for college was great and also friendships that will last forever.
Coppell High school
Coppell High School is a very large building obviously as Coppell High School houses over 4000 students and faculty every year. Coppell has obviously impacted me in a positive way especially without simple and smart the layout of the high school was. The campus has one main area of all the classrooms on two different floors with a gym, cafeteria, and some other office rooms on the far end of the building. All sports-related activities and facilities were located in a completely different building which made it easy to keep school and athletics apart from one another. Overall Coppell high school is a very well constructed building with little to no complaints
Mercedes-benz Stadium
This is a stadium located in Atlanta, Georgia, that is a multi-purpose stadium. As a kid, I grew up in Atlanta for the first 10 years of my life. I went to Atlanta Falcons games with my father, watching Michael Vick play. I was fascinated to enter this stadium, and the atmosphere was unlike anything I have ever seen. Every person was ecstatic, and I had never felt more alive as a child than when I was inside that stadium. Every time I walked inside, I was at a loss for words. I felt so excited, and the time in that stadium was worthwhile. My encounter and experiences were gratifying, and the memories I have, I will always cherish.
Sunnyside Diner
It has become a tradition of my grandparents and I to eat breakfast here at Sunnyside Diner at some point during the week. This diner is important to me because it represents family and togetherness, not just because I meet my biological family here but because the staff makes me feel at home. This is important to me because my family has been everything but together for as long as I can remember. I won’t get into the details but something as simple as being able to enjoy a meal with my family in a familiar place brings me joy. For this diner, I am thankful.
